Play based Early Learning Programs

Why play based learning? ... for the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to be implemented properly, all early childhood educators need to know what play is, why it is important, how to implement and assess a play-based program and their role in it.' Early Childhood Australia

This webinar is presented by Jenny Jay, Associate Professor for Early Childhood Studies at the School of Education and Course Coordinator for Early Childhood Studies at Curtin University. Jenny is also is the current President, Early Childhood Australia (WA Branch)

Jenny will discuss the value of how a play based early learning program assists children in the development of logical- mathematical habits of mind.  The critical thinking and problem solving skills that are developed when children engage in play based learning result in  the development of the ability to create links, understand relationship and explore concepts.
