Romolo is a retired mathematics teacher and Curriculum Consultant from WA. He is a Life member, and past President of The Mathematical Association of Western Australia.
Rom is passionate about the teaching and learning of Mathematics in schools and universities, especially about helping the mathematically gifted, but also about helping students with learning difficulties. He is still actively involved with teaching mathematical problem solving to Year 7-10 students via the Western Australian Mathematics Problem Solving Program, delivering face-to-face and online lessons (via zoom) lessons based on the AMT courses for young Australians. He has been supportive of the development of the WA STEM learning Modules K-12.
He has presented at AAMT, MAV and MAWA conferences, most recently (November 2019) presenting on delivering mathematics to year 7-10 via investigative tasks.
