In this session Louise will focus on teacher actions, which promote problem solving and reasoning in early years classrooms.  Participants will workshop some tasks and have opportunities for discussion.

Presenter: Louise Hodgson
Louise has been a classroom teacher and teacher leader across grades, schools, geographic regions and organisations. Her recent work has included working in schools with primary school teachers to implement the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics. Louise is currently a fulltime PhD candidate at Monash University. She has been an executive member of the Mathematical Association of Tasmania (MAT) for the past ten years and has presented at a number of conferences and run webinars for AAMT Connect with Maths.
