Parents As Educators 2

Parents As Educators 2

Every day, parents pack the bags of their early learners and send them off to school. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could pack their little minds with the skills, concepts and attitudes to ensure they achieve success as emerging mathematicians?

The Early Years Learning in Mathematics webinars provide professional learning online and are designed to support the discussion in the Early Years Forums.
If there are professional learning topics for webinars that you would like to suggest (either as a participant or a presenter), please contact connectwithmaths@aamt.edu.au

Presenters: Jennifer Bowden and Ellen Corovic

Every day, parents pack the bags of their early learners and send them off to school. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they could pack their little minds with the skills, concepts and attitudes to ensure they achieve success as emerging mathematicians?

Jennifer Bowden (Maths Education Consultant) and Ellen Corovic (Maths Education Consultant) will discuss and share ideas about the way parents can become more effective ‘educators’ as they engage in mathematics through play, conversation and creativity.

This presentation will be streamed live over the Internet as a Connect with Maths webinar from the AAMT Conference, UniSA, East Campus Adelaide.

Documentation will be available in the Learning section of the community website. Further discussion of the issues raised in the webinars will be ongoing in the community Forum.
